You could try using a small table top easel, the table would remain flat for your palette and then you can tilt the easel as much as want. Another idea is to use the lid for mixing large washes of color and the regular mixing area of the palette could be used for smaller washes. Also the surface table has to be exactly flat otherwise it will tilt and flow to wells.
