The original painting is for sale. The YouTube demo video for this painting is at the bottom.

Anybody from WNY will immediately recognize this image as the Mill located at Glen Falls Williamsville. During the summer months the parking lot is used for a farmers market where I buy fresh blueberries, corn and beefsteak tomatoes.

I used QOR watercolor paints on Arches 140 pound rough watercolor paper. I have tried various papers and finishes but I keep coming back to Arches rough. I like the rough paper for dry brush techniques and because it can take a lot of abuse, lifting and scrubbing away colors doesn't destroy the surface. I prefer blocks of watercolor paper instead of individual sheets because I don't have to waste time stretching it.  When it dries the paper shrinks and the sealed edges of the block ensures that it will dry perfectly flat.
