Last year I won a membership to the Buffalo Zoo so of course I brought my camera along to take photographs of the animals. The sea lion exhibit is one of my favorite exhibits. I had to wait a long time to get this picture of a sea lion coming up for air, I read on the Buffalo Zoo website that they can hold their breath for 10 minutes so it takes a lot of patience to get a good close up of them. They can also swim up to 20 mph. It’s obvious when it’s feeding time because if you’re anywhere near the exhibit you can hear loud barking.

Luna the polar bear at the Buffalo Zoo

I recently became a member of the Buffalo Zoo so I have been taking a lot of pictures of animals. I don't normally shoot video but my digital camera has a continuous drive which allows me to take pictures in quick succession. I used those still photos to create this short video of Luna playing around in the pool.

I assume that this is Luna and not Kali because the sign at the exhibit describes her as "outgoing, confident, and loves attention." Kali is described as being "reserved and passive."
